Lilit Margar, born in 1997 in Yerevan, Armenia, is an oboist and musician whose work bridges classical performance, jazz, improvisational music, and artistic exploration with cinematic storytelling.
She began playing the oboe at the age of eleven at the Sayat-Nova Music School, where her early musical foundation was established.
She continued her studies at the Yerevan State Conservatory before moving to Austria in 2018 to further develop her artistic path. From that point, she pursued parallel studies, combining her education in Armenia with advanced training in Austria. She completed her Bachelor’s degree at the Yerevan State Conservatory and went on to earn a second Bachelor’s degree at Anton Bruckner University in Linz.
In 2022, she began her Master’s studies at Anton Bruckner University, graduating in 2025 with honours. Alongside her academic development, she has performed in various orchestral and solo contexts, gaining experience both in Austria and internationally.
Her orchestral experience includes tours and performances with different ensembles in countries such as Finland, China, and Germany. She has also appeared as a guest oboist with the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra and the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra, expanding her artistic path through both national and international stages.
Alongside her performing career, she is also active on social media, where she shares her passion for improvisational music — offering covers of well-known songs reimagined through her own spontaneous musical interpretations. On YouTube, she extends this creative vision further, crafting cinematic storytelling experiences that blend music with visual narrative.
